CocoVail Presents: 4th of July in Barcelona

Jul 1, 2024 | Events & Holidays

Are you ready to celebrate the 4th of July in Barcelona? July 4th, aka Independence Day, in the United States of America generally means BBQs, beers, fireworks, family, friends, and fun in the sun. However, if you are on “the other side of the pond” / in the Old World, it can be tough to find a nest to celebrate. That changed completely in 2017 for people visiting Barcelona, Spain.

4th of July in Barcelona is a yearly event at CocoVail for all the patriots of the USA looking to find a home away from home. 2024 will be no exception, as we are always looking for ways to make the experience more fun and memorable.

4th of July in Barcelona 2024

CocoVail Beer Hall, the home of craft beer & chicken wings in The City of Counts, is hosting its 8th annual 4th of July bash. Even though July 4th lands on a Thursday this year, that’s not going to stop us from throwing a sweet shindig in honor of Uncle Sam. The goal is for the good ol’ U.S.A. to be proud.

We definitely encourage people to come dressed passionately for the motherland. The “best dressed” or in this case “most patriotically dressed” person will be a beacon of patriotism in the name of all things red, white, and blue.

We are looking forward to putting on this anticipated event, as this party is one to remember!

What is the 4th of July?

The 4th of July is a national holiday in the United States to celebrate Independence Day. On July 4th, 1776 the Declaration of Independence was signed by the founding fathers of the United State of America. It was an act of solidarity to officially declare independence from the United Kingdom.

To this day it is one of our favorite holidays back in the United States. It is not only a day off from work, but more importantly a day to celebrate the sacrifices that generated the great nation we know and love.

Remembering CocoVail’s 1st 4th of July in Barcelona Party

Independence Day 2017 at CocoVail was a success thanks to the participation and attendance of many incredible people who came to pay tribute to honor the red, white, and blue. A couple hundred people came by to pay tribute to the Home of the Brave and truly made it a night to remember.

The fiesta started early in the day. Our cornerstone of 24 craft beers on tap and familiar, American music bumped through the speakers. Families and college students alike came by to share some time together in celebration. Additionally, a trumpet paid tribute to The Star Spangled Banner in the closing hours of the night. People sang their hearts out, followed by a solid “U.S.A, U.S.A” chant. It was really awesome to see individuals be so passionate in commemorating the 50 states. There were people in attendance from all over the country. People sampling various offerings from our menu as well as drinks, of course. Not many people in Barcelona experience this holiday in full effect.

We hope you can come by and #feelathome this year for the 7th Annual 4th of July Party!
